Chinese New Year 2006 Part 3 Gua Kelam

Chor Yee we drove to AS. Started late morning together with Kuna who drop by "pai lin" in the morning. The traffic was again loose and overtaking is easy. Reaching Gurun there was a car accident involving a Proton Saga and Merc..... quite a smash up.

Steamboat and Lo Sang was again waiting for us when we arrived. House "pauchong" with 5 families staying under one roof.








On the day 4 of CNY we went to Kuala Perlis. We started quite late at 3pm and we reached the jetty at about 4pm. Its about 40km from AS. There is a new esplanade hotel and foodcourt



Next stop was Gua Kelam......... another 20 odd km away. We were amazed with the beauty and how scenic the place is. Multiple cascading pools greet you as you park your car for free. You only pay RM1 to enter the cave which is open ended. You walk on boardwalk with the river flowing under it.

Upon reaching the other end a tranquil and serene garden greet you and you again marvel at the flora and fauna. The unique root is the sintok which you often see in magazine writeup.

The roots is a mystery how it grows whether from bottom up or from top to the ground.












We meet Osama bin Laden at the lake. Mask cost RM18. The guy bought it in Padang Besar so we dash to the border town for some shopping. Time 7.30pm. I got a BMW T-shirt and Sim got a FearFactor T shirt for RM12 each.

Dinner was at the fame Kuala Perlis at 9pm. Everybody were hungry and we have some satay for starter whilst waiting for s&s crab, fried sotong, "chok tan" and steam fish. the place was packed even at 10pm people were waiting for table. Total cost RM170 CNY price!!!!!!! We were back in AS at 11.30pm. Ah Lor belanja from his winning the other night. What a day .

The following day while visiting TuaYee we were greeted by "Choy San Yeh"....... God of Prosperity What luck!!!! Two of them.
